Hello Kaypokia!

Nice username you have there and looking at your choice of username,I am expecting a lot more questions from you.Ok,with my limited knowledge,I will try to feed you with some information in regards to the powdercoating.

Powdercoating can be done at most shops that deals with metal gates and wrought iron. There are various colours that you can choose from and also the finishing can be gloss or matt. It's basically the same as spraypainting but powdercoating will not scratch as easily as spraypainting.

However,if you intend to powdercoat your rims, there are a few things that you will have to do.I suggest you get yourself a set of spokes and nipples first as this have to be replaced.Unless you can find a mechanic who is willing to dismantle and re-lace your spokes, almost impossible to find locally as local mechanic prefer to cut loose and replace.Since you are at it,wouldn't you want to powdercoat your hubs?Good powdercoating can make you original hubs look like 'TALON' hubs!

Powdercoating only takes a few days but the process of removing/relacing and reassembly is the dreaded process.Like I say,get hold of the spokes first before embarking on this project. You may have problem finding those spokes.Dun say I never warn you.

Since you say you are a noob,I must warn you also against mingling with us AT riders. We have a compulsive habit of overspending on our rides and be prepared to suffer financially. There will never be an end to customising.

Last but not least,'WE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT YOUR PARENTS WARNED YOU ABOUT!'

Shops to recommend to dismantle and put back, dun have.powdercoat,Mtechnik should be able to do for you. However, you can always ask Chan if he wants to do it coz he can be very busy at times. So this is consider a customisation job and will need some time.

Starting problems can be due to a few reasons.First,I must know which model are you riding.RD07 have some problems with starting after a long break.Carb design problem but there is a remedy.Look up www.atic.org for the remedy.

Others could be a dying battery which would not have enough juice to crank the engine.A fouled plug also could be another cause as the AT is a twin spark engine.A faulty alternator/stator would also cause some problems in starting.Lastly,it could be just a simple contact problem.

To help you narrow down to the possibilities of difficult starting. One of the probable cause.

Hey Kaypoh, maybe you wanna change your mind about powdercoating the rims.Anodising will definitely look better.Go to Mtechnik, look for Ken and ask to see his newly laced rims for the Dominator. If it's does not make you drool,I guarantee you will have an orgasm.
